Dawn

Ullens Center of Contemporary Art (UCCA)’s Reopening Gala was divided into five “acts,” inspired by Tao Yuanming’s fifth-century fable, “Peach Blossom Spring.” The animation "Dawn," presented as the fourth act, exhibits the process of the sun rising with the phoenix-- a recurrent motif that echoes the overarching theme of rebirth.
